Let us talk about adding Google Tasks to our arsenal. Some people can use tasks to lists their Get It Done objectives; eat lunch, drink Shakeology etc. Tasks can be date specific or not. They are not time specific, which is why I use tasks for open-ended projects, and weekly goals. Make a list of friends that might be interested in getting fit, make five new connections this week, etc. Again, for my daily to do list I need reminders in real time to make sure I hit my daily goals. Having all my tasks pop up for the day at midnight does not help me, compared to my eat lunch reminder popping up at 11:30, elliptical and reading flashing on my screen at 3:30. read more

Let’s Organize to a healthier you!

I thought we would talk about organization and time management. Now everyone has his or her own way of organizing there to do list. Pen and paper, filo flex (planner), calendar reminders on their phone, and maybe even sticky notes all over their house. I truly need a multidimensional approach otherwise I will simply forget call it old age or trying to juggle multiple appointments and tasks. Let us start with the tech side of reminders.

What to do with you have an Unsupportive Partner?

Hey followers. I had an entirely different post planned tonight but yet again life happened. Back to the big question what to do when you have an unsupportive partner. I am a big believer than when you surround yourself with positive people positive things will happen. It also goes that when you surround yourself with negative people you become negative and you attract negativity. I cannot even tell you what happened or how it happened. I reached a breaking point.

So I will be honest today was tough. We just got from vacation Sunday night at 9 pm and after unpacking starting laundry and then three hours of homework I did not get to bed till 2 am. I woke up late and grumpy I had no Almond milk left or any milk left in the house. I raided the fridge of perishables I knew Guy was not going to use when I was gone. I had to run to the elementary real quick to get Shaderek enrolled in 1st grade. I then took the kids to Iowa Falls to grab diapers and dog food from Wal-Mart. My weight loss journey

Some of you have asked why I am on a weight loss journey so I thought I would share.
My weight loss journey began after the birth of my first son. December 22nd 2011. Like most on their weight loss journey, my pregnancy packed on a few extra pounds. I went from 120 pre-pregnancy to 198 pre-delivery. As you guessed it, I did not have a 78-pound baby. :/ More like 7 lbs. 13 ounces. After about a month of breast-feeding, I was down to about 130 pounds. Those extra 10 pounds stayed with me for years. When I was pregnant with my second son, I decided to not eat junk food, but start exercising and eating right. I only gained 30 pounds my entire pregnancies. After breastfeeding, I was down to 150. Those 20 pounds gained after having both kids and growing older has stuck with me. I have tried diets, exercise plans whatever the latest fads have been. I picked up jogging and swimming but I still LOVE my fast food and a nice cold beer on a summer day. read more

Working out so far

Combat seems to be a tough exercise. Even when trying to modify the exercising I seem to be losing stamina so quickly. I have been doing Combat and then the next day doing my own weight program. I LOVE lifting weights. I will be honest and this is probably not a program I will stick with I am not passionate about the exercise. I will be sticking with Shakeology but skipping this exercise program for one of my own.

Today I received combat in the mail from BeachBody. I was sent a measuring tape and I am going to measure myself. ugh… Well world time to hold me accountable.

38-36-39 I am almost a block of chub. I knew there was a reason i could see my belly almost catching up to my boobs and I got some boobs.. Sigh

So I am not grossly obese I am kind of average but my clothes do not fit like they use to. I find myself needing larger pants every year, another size, another size. I know my hips are wider from having kids but my thighs that is all from double cheese burgers. read more
