In a month that is 3.5 inches down and only 2 pounds. I will take inches  off my thighs any day!

What are my friggin macros, micos what?

Lol they are Macros. What Are Macros you ask?

Macronutrients are molecules that our bodies use to create energy for themselves primarily fat, protein and carbs. They are found in all foods in varying amounts, measured in grams (g) on the nutrition labels.

Fat provides 9 calories per gram

Protein provides 4 calories per gram

Carbohydrates provide 4 calories per gram

Counting Calories vs. Counting Macros

If you eat less calories than you burn, you will likely lose weight. However, counting calories can only tell you so much; if you are not careful and do not eat the right calories; you will likely lose muscle as well. To maintain, lose or even gain weight, many people rely on counting macros to make sure they are eating correctly. 100 calories of avocado (fat) is a lot better than 100 calories of a doughnut (carbs). On a ketogenic (low carb, high fat) diet, it is very important to know how many carbs you are eating in comparison to fat and protein. Many people aim for less than 50g of carbs to maintain ketosis. When counting macros, you simply add up how many grams of fat, protein and carbs you ate that day. read more

Keto On Peeps

Just did my measurements for my monthly weigh-in. I am down 8.5 inches. This last month has not been ideal. With my grandfather passing away there were many cheat foods and many alcoholic drinks. A lot of sleep loss, and vacation time spent with friends and family. However, I got back on the horse. We have had some cheat days too many to list. We have been aggressively house hunting so loads of eating quickly in the car. Mc Donald’s, and Hardees!! However, that is no excuse just life. I am recommitting to continuing to my goal weight. So here, I am middle of July and still I have lost 25 pounds since April. I never thought I would be able to lose weight this easily by changing my diet to something I actually want to eat. I will be working on a meal plan for those of you that want to get into Keto but become overwhelmed with all the information out there. read more

Life has a way of getting away from ya

It has been over a year. Since I have wrote anything to my followers. It has been a CRAZY year. I dumped my deadbeat boyfriend who was using my home and money as he pleased. I reconnected with my EX-HUSBAND. Yea I know WTF was I thinking. Lol Well I was thinking we are older and slightly wiser now. We always had fun, we just never had adult responsibilities, and adulating by yourself is hard. We started dating last summer and was remarried by October!! Again crazy I know, we wanted an outdoor wedding in Iowa so either early fall or late spring. read more

Updates

Well it has been over a year. So many random things have happened in the last year where to begin.

Let me think I broke up with a few boyfriends in that time (shocking I know!) I just have not found someone that vibes with my kids and I. I do not have loads of time to take care of a man-child. If you are unable to pick up after yourself and help clean my house that you live in. I do not have time to deal with whining bitch poor me attitudes. I enjoy bitching but I do not remain stagnate and wallow in self-pity. I bitch and move on. read more
